Carol Covington & Rachel Palmateer: Saturday Feb 25th, 2017 at 3pm:

Carol Covington is a student at CCD pursuing a degree in Life. She is a recent retiree, a veteran of the US Army, mother of two and grandmother of teens. A military brat, Carol grew up in Wiesbaden, Germany in the 60’s and California in the 70’s before enlisting in the army in 1975. She has been writing poetry for as long as she can remember and had her first spoken word experience at the Mercury Café in the fall of 2016. She credits her love of words to a fireball professor named Kona Morris, for opening the window encouraging her to share.

Rachel Palmateer is a spoken word poet from the forests of the northeast, happily settled in Longmont, CO.

She is the long-time host of Wine & Poetry nights, a co-founder of The Boulder Poetry Tribe, and a frequenter of open mics and curated readings in the Boulder-Denver-Longmont area.
While she has been published in a few places, she prefers her poems to be heard aloud.
Rachel HATES bananas and LOVES the moon.
